Japan whale hunt and their lies?

what are they really doing? a little bit of research on whale meat? it's obvious that they kill whales in the ocean to later munch on. are they this hungry? why can't this be stopped? i'm definitely putting my money down to fight those whale hunters. why are they lying to the world that it's for the scientific research? on what? we dont need such silly research btw.
