Why I can't seem to get pregnant?

It's a two part question really, I'm 28 years old and my Husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year with not even the smallest glimmer of hope yet. I am a little overweight but healthy, I have had my Hormones checked and my Tubes tested with nothing out of the ordinary. My Husband has had a vasectomy reversed, but he has been tested and all is well with him, so what gives? I'm ready to pull my hair out, both of my sisters were practically pregnant overnight and even though I realize every woman is different, come on.......really, not yet. We've tried tracking my ovulation times, we've tried not tracking it at all and just having fun, still nothing. Everyone keeps telling me as soon as you stop stressing out about it, it will happen.......not helpful. (Here's where the second question comes in.) To make matters a little more interesting, my period started yesterday but it was very different. I was a couple days late(which isn't unusual for me) so I tested for pregnancy and you guessed it, nope, but the blood is very mucus like this time. Normal red color, but slimy, so here it is, anyone know what the heck is going on with me. Could it be from the medication I am currently taking to get rid of a cold? Do you know any fancy tricks, or old school techniques for getting pregnant(I'm sure if I was 14 and drunk with no idea who the daddy is, this wouldn't be a problem.) Haha!
