Are children born out of wedlock the future of Christianity and the torch bearers of the "word" in America ?

The Bible is full of garbage like this. There's some good stuff in the sermon on the mount and tered elsewhere and its interesting for historical perspective. You have to read a lot of garbage like this as well though which for me clearly indicates its not the word of a loving God but the words of men from an ancient civilization. Your right on the excuse of its the OT not being that helpful. For me why would a just, loving God have attitudes and laws like in the OT at all. Wouldn't they as a moral being who hates sin saying no stoning your children is wrong, we love all children regardless of parentage, slavery is wrong, don't sell your daughters, etc...
