Adult tonsillectomy?

I had my surgery oct 22 07 and I read that some were eating solid foods by day 4 I still cant eat nothing more than mac&che When will I be able to eat solids this is the worst pain ever. I have been through labor and a csection this is worser. I want to be back to normal because I hav a 2 yr old, When will these scabs fall off because this is day7 I been having alot of ear and throat pain in the mornings I cant belive Iam still taking pain meds Any advice would be helpful thank
