Is this normal???

My 2 1/2 yr wants to dump EVERYTHING out all over the place. I mean EVERYTHING............His food, cups of jucice, any drink he can find on the counter, all the toys in the toy box, all the books in the bok shelf, the litter box for the cat, etc.............. EVERYTHING. I'm about to loose my mind. My house is a disaster , my floors (ALL TILE THROUGHOUT HOUSE) are a sticky mess, and he wont stop. I put him in time out, I , make him help clean it up even if it mean a 30 minute meltdown. Is this a normal stage for 2 yr olds that p eventually or is my kid just destined to destroy my house forever???
