Do you know why unemployment is so bad and why it will not get better?

Yes, I know exactly why it is so bad. Everybody I know who works for a decent company, like AT&T and IBM, are now forced to work many extra hours, sometimes as much as 70 hours a week, because the companies know people are afraid of getting laid off and are using them. Instead of hiring people to do the job they are abusing the employees they already have. That's it. It's not the fault of the government, it's the ignorance of people who don't know any better.
